Hamman Hall is a 475-seat proscenium-style auditorium on the Rice University campus. Built in 1958, it has a long and storied history of serving as a physics lecture space, a music hall, and now a home for theatre on campus. Today, the Rice Theatre Program operates the building and it houses the Rice theatre program, an academic concentration in the Department of Visual and Dramatic Arts, in addition to the Rice Players, who have been producing shows in the building since before the inception of the department. The Rice Players produce two shows annually in the space.
